Apparently a driver in Birmingham has racked up an impressive 55 PCNs in the space of a single year. This would make the vehicle owner potentially liable for about £3,850 in fines. Perhaps South West News Service have mistaken Birmingham for the whole of Britain, as their article seems to exist solely on the basis of some figures from the local Council.
While this is certainly quite an achievement, I am sure that this driver is not even close to the top of the list when you look at the rest of the country. I’m personally aware of many drivers (through my line of work) who would have this figure beat, even if I can’t reveal any specific details. You also have to consider people using cloned vehicles or people who have their vehicle registered abroad. Many of these people park with impunity knowing they can ignore any tickets issued to them.
