Lincolnshire Council moves to Civil Enforcement

Lincolnshire County Council is switching to Civil Enforcement of parking and traffic contraventions from 03/12/12, one of the last Local Authorities to do so.  The Police were previously responsible for enforcement in the County, although the Council claim that this was sporadic.  Starting from 19/11/12 blue warning notices will be affixed to ‘offending’ vehicles as part of a 2 week grace period by a team of up to 20 Civil Enforcement Officers.

Despite these warnings, it’s likely that this will still result in much confusion and a large number of PCNs being issued once everything goes live.  A PCN Portal page for the Council will be set-up once the new system is up and running, and we can see if their new system will allow online viewing.
